Denmark’s Horror
A new wave of horror and indignation has swept Denmark as the result of the sinking of the Danish steamer England (2319 tons) and Fredensborg (2094 tons)—the latter reported to have been torpedoed when attempting to rescue the crew of the England, says the Copenhagen correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph.” A high official said: “The Germans are doing their utmost to ensure that no witnesses will survive to tell of their brutality.”
