Spies Dropped By Parachute

Germany has begun to try the invasion by parachute trick. Details were revealed by the Exchange Telegraph Company of an attempt by the Germans to drop spies by parachute behind the French lines.

The incident, it was stated, occurred nearly a month ago, but it has been kept a closely guarded secret by the French military officials until now. Several Germans were dropped near Nancy. They were observed by French ground, forces, who opened machinegun fire upon them..

The attempt, says Reuter, was made at dusk. Two. or three men were in-

volved.
