Many U-boats have recently been attacked by British Navy, as continuation of campaign against enemy's underwater craft. Success has mainly been due to use of depth-charges, drums filled, with 300 lb. of high explosive, which are dropped over stern of hunting craft or projected from “throwers." Photograph shows one of depth-charge throwers being fired on a British destroyer.
