N.S.W Takes Sheffield Shield
SYDNEY, January 29
The Sheffield Shield competition for this season was won by New South Wales, which lodav secured an outright win over Victoria by 177 runs. New South Wales gained 20 points, South Australia 18, Victoria 10, and Queensland 5. Victoria’s second innings concluded for 326 (Hassett 122, Johnson 40; O'Reilly 3 for 79, Pepper 3 for 115).
