Cyclist Killed In Avoiding Collision

In an endeavour to avoid colliding with two women who were crossing Glenmore Road about midday yesterday; a motor-cyclist fell and suffered fatal injuries. Injuries were also received by one of the pedestrians and a young woman riding on the pillion. The victim was Mr Hone Easton, 24, a draughtsman, of Wadestown, Wellington, who died in hospital at 7 p.m.
Mrs H. Bond, one of the pedestrians, received a severe scalp wound and concussion.
Miss J. Johns, of Wadestown, a post office employee, _ who was the pillion rider, received an injury to the right arm.
The other woman who was crossing the road was not injured.
