Papal Legate Pleased With N.Z. Exhibition

The Papal Legate (Archbishop Panl'co), accompanied by a distinguished assembly of officials, clergy and laity today visited the Centennial Exhibition. He viewed several courts and was entertained at tea by the Exhibition authorities. Later Archbishop Panico visited the Catholic pavilion. The Legate was accompanied by Archbishop O’Shea. Better Than Buenos Aires. On arrival they were received by the Minister for Industries and Commerce (Mr Sullivan), president of the Exhibition Company and the directors. Replying to a welcome. Archbishop Panico said he was particularly pleased with the Exhibition, which he said was a greater one than that at Buenos Aires which he attended in 1928. He said he hoped the next century would bring greater progress to the country.
