Six Bombs On Shetlands, But No Damage

(Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, January 24. Flying high three planes, believed to be German bombers, arrived over the Shetlands.

They dropped six bombs, four on the central mainland, where there are no military objectives. Two have not been located.

No damage was reported. One plane, resembling a Heinkel, dived towards a steamer moored alongside the quay, but did not-attack. The air-raid warning lasted 31 minutes. ;

British fighters went up, but failed to make contact with; the raid.ers, who, according to an eye Witness, dodged behind high clouds.
