Smaller Profit For Dalgety And Co., Ltd.
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The complete accounts' of Dalgeiy and Co., Ltd., for the year ended June 30, 1939, preliminary details of which were published on December 5, show a net profit of £121,625, compared with £132,375 the year before.
Gross profit was £877,445, against £879,853.
The 5 per cent, preference dividend requires £25,000, and a dividend of 5 per cent, bn ordinary shares, compared with 6 per cent, in the year before, requires £75,000, leaving £124,162 to be carried forward, against £117,537 brought into the account.
The sum available for ordinary shareholders was equal to 5.4 per cent, on ordinary capital of £1,500,000.
