Captain Of Wrecked German Liner Refuses Aid
(Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, January 23. The British steamer Baltanglia and the • Norwegian steamer Pluto (1598 tons) were mined and sunk off the North-East Coast. No lives were lost. An unnamed 10,000-ton German steamer went aground on’ the west coast of Jutland.

A U-boat torpedoed and sank the Greek steamer Ekatontarchos Dracoulis (5329 tons) south of Portugal, says a United Press Association message. Six men were killed and 20 were rescued.
The Swedish steamer Foxen .(1304 tons) sank after an explosion in the North Sea.
Eighteen of the crew were lost, only - one being saved.
