(Received 9.30 a.m.) BOND.ON, Jaimarv 23. Q-ERMAN TROOPS ACTING AS RAILWAY POLICE HAVE ARRIVED ON THE RUMANIAN FRONTIER, SAYS A MESSAGE FROM BUCHAREST.
If is officially announced that Russia agreed to allow Germany to police the 200 miles of railway from Rumania to Germany, via the Russian-occupied portion of -Southern Poland, after Germany had complained that shipments of munitions had been delayed or lost owing to the railway system.
It is understood. Rumania has been assured that this does not mean a large concentration of troops on the frontier.
> Several Divisions. The German forces in Southern Poland amount to several divisions and include at least two infantry regiments at Lwow arid artillery and ■ motorised 'divisions elsewhere, says the Bucharest correspondent of "The Times." The Budapest radio today stated that the Rumanian Government, had declared the district Cluj, near the Hungarian border, a. military zone. Interest in Arms Firms. It is learned that Germany has acquired a powerful interest in two of Rumanian biggest armament firms, as the result of a Rumanian law which rendered worthless 500,J0G share certificates deposited in a London bank by a Czechoslovakian firm since that country V/as taken over by Germany. The new law made shares held in foreign countries liable to cancellation, but permitted the owners to claim duplicates, of the same nominal value in Rumania. Frontier Adjustment. Thirty thousand German troops have already gone to Galicia,, says the Bucharest correspondent of the "Daily Mail.”
Russia and Germany are undoubtedly discussing a substantial readjustment of the frontier of Poland by which Germany would grant Russia more territory in the north of Poland in exchange for Galicia.
