’Change: Government Stocks Active

Government 4 per cent stocks were active at this morning’s call on the Auckland Stuck Exchange with values from 5/ to £i above par. and there was a better response from holders generally. Banks and insurances were quieter in tone.
Industrials were steady, with few changes in quotations. The dividend announcement of Emperor and Loloma Mines quickened interest in these two' Fiji issues, buyers of the former coming in at yesterday’s increased price, while Lolomas had offers at £1 16/6.
Sales completed at the noon call today were: 'National Insurance, 18/10; N.Z. Insurance, £3 2/; Lolcma, £1 17/6. Inscribed Stock, 55-55, 4 per cent, £IOO 5/. Inscribed Stock, 54-58, 4 per cent, £IOO 10/.
