Excursion Trains To Russell Monday
Special excursion trains*will be run between Portland and Opua on Monday, when Russell’s Centennial pageant takes place. The train leaves Portland at 6 a.m. and Whangarei 20 minutes later, arriving at Opua at 8.55 a.m. To enable those wh<J'wish to do so to remain for the evenings ««temony concluding the Russell Queen Carnival, including a ball, two trains will be available for the return trip. The first will leave Opua at 5.45 p.m. and the second is timed to leave 1 at 1 a.m.
