Northland Youths Leave To-morrow To Man Forts

Eighteen youths, 13 from Whangarei and five from Dargaville, will leave tomorrow for Auckland, where they will take up duty in the North Head Battery.

They form part of the 50 youths between the ages of 19 and 21 who have answered an appeal to man the coastal defences in the Auckland ■ district, relieving rnen who are now doing that work and who wish to enlist in the Second Echelon of the Special Military Force. All have been passed medically and dentally fit. The personnel is as follows: — Whangltrei.— D. W. Archer. G. S. Black, K. H. Crawford. J. Croft, W. G. Flux, T. Kake, R. J. Milne, J. F. McConnell, W. V. McConnell S. P. Port, H. F. Ross, F. Ward, E. S. Weston. Dargaville.—D. Campbell, T. Dankc, R. Hansen, R. G. Harkins, F. T. Moore.
