This is important for Kaitaia and Mangonui County holidaymakers. For those not arranging their own transport to the railhead, Mr D. Saunders, headmaster of the Takahue School, has made special arrangements.

Mr Cowie's bus will be leaving the Kaitaia Post Office at 5.15 a.m. on Thursday, January 18. Be there early and report at once to Mr Saunders. Remember, 5 o’clock in the morning. Mr C. Harris’ school bus will be leaving the Takahue School at 5.15 a.m. on the same day, in charge of Miss G. Bastard. Takahue holidaymakers should also report to Miss Bastard at 5 o’clock in the morning on January 18. That gives quarter of an checking.
