Second Man On Breaking Charge

. A second man was charged at the Whangarei Court this morning in connection with a burglary at the shop of Alfred Bevege, Cameron Street, last month.

Ernest Albert Mills, 20, a labourer, of'Whangarei, was charged with having broken and entered the shop of Alfred. Bevege, and with committing the crime of theft.

Mills consented to a remand to January 17, bail being allowed by Mr F. Farmer, J.P., in self of £SO and one surety of £IOO. Yesterday, James Maitland Webb, 21, seaman, of Auckland, charged with having broken and entered the same shop and with having stolen the sum of £l/5/4. was remanded by consent to January 17, the magistrate (Mr Ferner) allowing bail in seif of £SO. and one surety of £IOO.
