Ngahau Wins Ocean Yacht Race
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”!] TAURANGA, This Day. The 19th annual ocean race from Auckland to Tauranga of 121 miles, which started at 3 p.m. on Saturday off the King’s Wharf, was won by Mr. W. Burns’ Ngahau, on handicap, with Mr. F. G. Gresham's Ngahuia second and Messrs Tercel Bros, Ranger, third.
Ngahau’s win was popular. She was built 50 years ago by R. Logan for Mr. Boult, Whangarei, and made a good showing against the Ranger, only 50 weeks old,
