Nearly 35,000,000 Savings Certificates Sold

(Received 2 p.m.) RUGBY, December" 21. The president of the National Savings Association (Sir H. Robert Kindersley) states that there has been as many new savings groups formed during the past three weeks as during a year in the last war. The total amount of sales of new national savings certificates during the three weeks has reached nearly 35,000,000, while 3000 new savings groups have been formed in the same period. Sir Robert took the view that, even so, the possibilities of increasing the number of savings groups are immense.
