A small list of police cases was heard by Mr Forner, S.M., in the Knikohe Magistrate’s Court.on Thursday. Charged with a breach of ,n prohibition order. William Webster, a Kaikohe labourer, was fined £2 with 10/- costs. Harry Boswell, 19, a Pakaraka farm labourer, pleaded guilty to a charge of procuring possession of a firearm without a permit and was fined 10 '- with 10/- costs. On. ,a charge of stealing a .mail valued at £1 at Waimate North on September 30, George Allen, of Waimate North, was convicted, and fined £l. Six weeks’ imprisonment with hard labourer were imposed upon David Waiomio. 18, .an Oromahoe labourer, on a charge of stealing a hat from a dance hall at Pnketona on October 27. For being on licensed premises in Kaikohe after hours, Em W.arsfc a Kaikohe painter, was fined 20/- and 10/- costs, and on a charge of aiding in the supply of liquor to natives he war. fined £3 with 10/- costs.
