Celebrate Russia’s Exit From World’s Fair

(Received 12.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 21

Mr George Harvey, president of the Queen’s Borough, in which the World’s Fair is located, has proclaimed a half-holiday for borough employees to celebrate the removal Of the Russian pavilion. He has urged private employers to do likewise.

“I am sure the people feel as I do, jubilant at the withdrawal of a symbol so violently in contrast with our Government and jeopardising our own peaceful Christmas,” he’ added. “I hope American flags will be displayed throughout the borough to mark the official exit of an unwelcome guest.”
