Vesuvius Erupts, Threatens Villages
(Received 2.30 p.m.) NAPLES, December 17. ’ Mount Vesuvius is pouring out lava at three points. •. Villages are standing by for'evacuation, though it is hoped to divert the flow from the villages. Thousands gathered to watch the awesome spectacle of the flames streaming down the mountainside.
