Gunner’s Death Fall
Overbalancing and falling 20 feet on to the rocks below, a gunner stationed at Battery Point was killed almost instantaneously this morning, says a Christchurch message. The dead man was William David Burke, of 74 Clyde Street, Invercargill, aged 20.
