Cheaper Bools For Australian Soldiers
(Received 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY. This Day
•The boot manufacturers at a conference agreed to supply the Government with 200.000 pairs of boots for the defence forces, at the price stipulated by the Acting-Minister for Supply (Su* Frederick Stewart).
Sir Frederick said there would be a saving of 2/1U a pair on the original price the manufacturers quoted, allowing for the increase in leather prices and improved design.
