First-Aid At Sawmills

A warning to sawmillers that stretchers' and first-aid equipment must be on hand at mills was sounded in the Kaikohe Magistrate's Court on Thursday by Mr Berner. S.M.. when he fined Barrett Bros. £2, with 15/ costs for a breach of the limber workers' award in having no stretcher available at the mill, though a firstaid outfit was provided. A fine of £1 and costs was imposed upon W. P. Ramsay, sawmiller, of Oputehe.
