Business Fairly Active On Stock Exchange
([Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. « Business was fairly active on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning, and there was little change in prices. Features of the list of sales were ,a rise of 2/6 in Union Banks, and a drop of 9d in New Zealand. Newspapers. . Tg!#!® The demand for gas shares was keener than for, some time. Aucklands being wanted at 17/-, with sellers asking 6d more. Australian industrials had good buying support, and. a strong inquiry was maintained for Government stocks. Sales completed at the noon call taday were:— New Zealand; Insurance, £2/0/3; British Tobacco, £2/14/3; Colonial Sugar, £56/10/-; Farmers’ Trading, 17/-; New Zealand Drug, £3/16/-; Taupiri, 18/9; Broken Hill South, £l/13/3; Raw.ang, 12/6; stock, 15/4/4649, 4 per cent., £99/5/-.
