Waihi East School Burned
5 Special to “Northern Advocate”] WAIHI, This Day.
An old landmark on the outskirts of the town, the Waihi East School, was totally destroyed by fire a little before 3 o’clock this morning. Nothing was saved. The building was about 34 years old and consisted of five classrooms. The roll number was IG9, The headmaster (Mr W. H. Stainton) suffered the loss of a valuable library.
