Three Whangarei Firemen Enlist
Throo Whan gave i firemen have enlisted and are at present in camp. A pjbute to the splendid spirit ol (he firemen was paid by the Superintendent 'Mr. C. H. Chissell), when he told the Whangarei Fire Board today (liat members nf Hie brigade had founded n fund and were each paying in 1G per motitli which would be" available to assist enlisted men at the end of the war. Auxiliary firemen were performing the duties of the enlisted men. Mr, Chissell asked if it were possible to retain the names of men enlisted on the brigade roll. This the board agreed could be done.
