Sheep Industry Facts Demanded By Farmers

Full Facts regarding the sheep industry had been made more, and not less, urgent by reason of the wartime demand for increased production.

This was the opinion of the Purua branch, of the Farmers’ Union expressed in a remit to the Whangarei sub-provincial executive at the quarterly meeting yesterday.

The branch also urged the Government to reconstitute the Royal, Commission on sheepfarming for that purpose.

Months and months of work had been put into the colelction of data but within a rew ciays or the outbreak of war the Government had suspended action, said the president (Mr A. Briscoe Moore). ‘‘The work should go forward.” he said. The remit was' approved. ,
