Mangonui Tennis Tournament
Rain prevented completion of the Mangonui County Tennis Association’s annual handicap tournament last week-end. Scheduled to start on the Kaitaia courts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the tournament did not get under way until about 12.30.
The courts full all Saturday afternoon, but all hopes of continuing: the matches bn Sunday were wiped out when steady rain set in during Saturday evening. With a little seasonable weather, the tournament will be continued this Saturday and Sunday. Below are the results of the games so far played: Men’s Singles.—C. Masters ( —15;3) beat N.
