Christmas Day Empire Broadcast
LONDON, December 2
The British Broadcasting Corporation announces that the Christmas Day Empire broadcast, culminating in the King’s speech, will be on the same scale*, as in previous years. The programme will include a microphone tour of the South of England, the Midland, Wales, North England, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
This will be, followed, it is hoped, by items representing all the three Fighting Services. Speakers from Canada, New Zealand, Australia, India, and South Africa will follow.
Malaya will represent the Colonial Empire,
