British Planes Take Enemy By Surprise

LONDON, November 28,

British fighters attacked the German seaplane base at Borkum half an hour before darkness and took the enemy completely by surprise. The Germans opened fire with machine-guns on the top of hangars and also pom-pom guns. No enemy fighters went out to engage the attackers, and no German machines were encountered on the return flight. The German radio states that British aeroplanes attempted to raid the air base at Borkum and used machine guns, but were repulsed. No bombs were dropped.
