U.S. Will Not Protest, Says Pittman

The chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate (Mr Key Pittman) expressed the opinion that, while the United States might suffer some financial loss from the control of German exports, she would not participate with other neutralk in pretesting at the measure. “We shall certainly not become involved in this controversy,” he said. “It is a minor sacrifice, compared with the major sacrifice of the Neutrality Act.”
