A Domei News Agency report states that the Prime Minister (General Abe), addressing Osaka businessmen, said the final solution of the China problem might take five to 10 years. The launching of the new Central China Government should not be taken to mean that the China incident was ending. The settlement of economic questions would x’emain after the military operations had ended, added General Abe.
“Pacification would require a great effort after General Chiang Kai-shek had been broken.
A messagb from Chungking states that the Chinese admit the loss of Nanning, which the Japanese claim to have captured last week. Much of the city is reported to be on fire.
