ghow.—The Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual show opened today, and was notable for the exceptional quality of the sheep exhibits, which were considered the best in many years. Cattle and horses were considerably fewer, but quality was maintained. The entries totalled 3060, compared with 3033 last year.
