For the past six years R.S.M. of the North Auckland Mounted Rifles, which is affiliated to his old regiment, the Royal Scots Greys, Staff-Sergeant-Major S., C. Andrews, D.C.M., leaves Whangarei tomorrow to become camp quartermaster at Ngaruawahia. ■, A typical British soldier of the best type, Staff-Sergeant-Major Andrews has been very popular in Northland. He saw 22 years’ service with the Scots Greys. One of the “Old Contemptibles” at Mons, he was on active service from the beginning to the end of the last war without ever becoming a casualty.
