Caddies. Competitors in the New Zealand golf championship at Miramar yesterday, had the unusual experience of contending with a shortage of caddies. In an effort to relieve the situation, the State Placement Office was asked to provide men. Owing to the fact, however, that players would have had to pay 5/6 a round, most of the competitors had the services of a friend, or did without a caddy.
