After emphasising the need for stricter supervision in the typo of houses built just outside the town board area, Mr W, Shaw moved that the Bay County Council be asked to co-operate with the Kaikohe Town Board regarding the type of buildings erected on land which might some day be included in the town area. After a lengthy discussion, the chamber decided to write to Mr Boswell stressing the need for reafforestation on Crown land surrounding Kaikohe.
