Coupons From Savings Bank Counter

As from today, private car owners will obtain petrol coupons from the Money Order and Savings Bank counter of the Whangarei Post Office, instead of from the old county buildings. Tiie hours observed will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other vehicle owners will obtain licenses from the old county office in the usual way. Applications for petrol coupons were received in a steady stream throughout Friday and Saturday. The organisation at the old council chambers provided facilities for dealing rapidly with the issue •of coupons, and motorists found little waiting necessary to secure their cards.

Applications for oil licenses are still being received, a large number being dealt with each day.
