Lodges And Social Security
Social security is still holding the .attention of lodge executives and members in Whangarei. At the last meeting of the U.A.0.D., the secretary was instructed to obtain all particulars in relation to the scheme for the information of members who, in common with the general public, are not clear as to the exact conditions obtaining.
With the lodge endeavouring to secure the maximum assistance for members, it is essential that those members be aware of conditions as they exist.
The whole position is being reviewed, and, with relevant particulars in hand, the matter is expected to be fully discussed at the next meeting.
Mr J. J. Collins, shift clerk at the Paeroa Railway Station, lias been appointed chief clerk at Whangarei, replacing Mr A. H. McKay, who leaves on promotion next week to take up duty as station master at Aramoho, near Wanganui,
