Moerewa Ambulance Division Formed
At a recent meeting held in Moerewa by the Moerewa section of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, it was unanimously decided to form a division of the brigade in Moerewa, this being the forerunner of further activity in the district.
The officers elected were: Divisional surgeon, Dr. Frengley; divisional superintendent. Dr. Beattie; .ambulance officer, J. A. Fearnley (promoted from corporal); divisional secretary, Hon. Sergeant P. J. Ellis (promoted from section secretary); corporal,' H. S. Christie (promoted from private).
■ Classes have, been formed, the first classes being ready to receive medical lectures commencing on September 7. Very keen interest is being taken by the ladies of the district, they being desirous of becoming proficient in first aid treatment. On completing the first aid examinations, home nursing classes will be set in operation. Thus'the members will be proficient in two very useful courses.
