Deficit Will Not Affect Guaranteed Price
[Per Press Association. Copyright.] WELLINGTON, This Day.
When the Primary Products Marketing Account was under consideration in the House last evening, several members of the Opposition wished to knew if the deficit of over £1,000,000 in the Dairy Account last season would affect the guaranteed price for dairy produce this season. The Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, who was making his first appearance in the House since his arrival back from England, stated that the system of fixing the guaranteed price would not be affected by the deficit.
