Historic Shawls
Paisley shawls with a history will be included in the Women’s Section exhibit at the N.Z. Centennial Exhibition, which opens on November 8. Some of the shawls are hundreds of years old, and the collection will include the finest examples of Paisley craftsmanship.
Other interesting articles in the Loans Section will bo Snuff boxes, Charles 11. spoons; and a Queen Anne period wedding veil, all articles that belonged to Now Zealand's pioneers, the treasured possessions of settlers’ wives in the earliest days of the Dominion’s development.
