Canada’s Voluntary Aid
A later message from Ottawa states that Mr Mackenzie King broadcast an attack on Her Hitler for his “efforts to domniate the world.”
“Despite efforts to preserve peace in Europe,” he added, “the United Kingdog has become involved in war. ' “All I need say at the moment is that Canada, as a free nation of the Commonwealth Is giving her co-operation voluntarily.
“We must save from destruction all that which makes life worth living and preserve for future generations all that has been bequeathed to us.” He said that Parliament was meeting on Thursday and meafiwhile measures were being taken to defend Canada.
Government.-—The House of Commons rose at 4.36 p.m. until 3.45 tomorrow. Captain Margesson, Conservative Whip, announced that the seat of Government was remaining in London as long as possible.
