The usual monthly meeting of the Omahuta branch of the Victoria Home Science League was held at Mrs J. Walker’s residence on Wednesday last. There was a very good attendance. Two new members were welcomed to the branch.

Several ideas for bringing new interest into these afternoons were brought forward by discussion by members, and some of these will be included in the day’s programme shortly. Mrs E. Nalder was appointed secretary in succession to Mrs Robinson, who resigned. The hostesses, Mesdames J. Walker and J. Temlpeton. served .an excellent afternoon tea, which terminated a very enjoyable meeting. Rangiahua Mrs C. Campbell, of Puketi, has been visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs G. H. Mcßae, Omahuta. Mrs A. L. Sturge, of Waihou Valley, is visiting Auckland. Mr Claude Campbell, of the Puketi State Forest, is undergoing training at Narrow Neck military camp. Growth of Grass.
