Whakapara Beats Kamo At Table Tennis

In a return match played at Kamo, Whakapara Table Tennis Club beat the Kamo Club by 49 games to 34. The games, which were witnessed by a large attendance, proved most enjoyable and keenly contested. In thanking the Kamo Club for its hospitality, Mr L. Davis, Whakapara president, suggested that the various table tennis clubs of the district should form an association next season. Mr Peters, of Kamo, supported this suggestion. Table tennis has become an exceptionally popular pastime in the country areas of the Whangarei district, and the enthusiasm shown at this fixture was indicative of the support it is being accorded.
