Sir lan Hamilton has taken to literature in the shape of an autobiography, “When I Was a Boy” is the story of In's costs in England q’niwmwmwmw boyhood. It has 1C illustrations and costs, in England, IS, Alwayr a beloved leader and a tine soldier, and always inclined to be unconventional, he tells a boyhood story with such wealth of incident, humour, and graphic interest, that the London and Scottish reviewers welcome Ihe book with a chorus of praise. It is not announced, but we may hope for an autobiography of his later years. Every New Zealander who knows the immortal story of Gallipoli, would want to read it.
Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Neville Chamberlain. P.C.. M.P., has also taken to publication. The book is not yot to hand, but in England and on the Continent of Europe, it is said to be in clamorous demand. It is a record of his work and speeches in the cause of peace, and called “The Struggle For Peace,” It is issued by Hutchinson at 8/G.
A book at the same price which may
deserve just as wide a circulation, it, is Sir Arthur Salter's “Security, though it is hardly likely to command Can We Retrieve It?” This will be dealt with in next week's book notices in this column,
