Germans Pleased With U-Boat Tests In Baltic
BERLIN, July 26.
It is announced that extensive submarine manoeuvres were held in the Baltic, in which five of Germany’s seven flotillas participated. They concentrated on the practice of “sinking” a number of convoyed ships. It is officially stated that the exercises proved that the enemy must fear submarines as much as in the Great War.
