Britain Tries To Re-open Russo-Talks
(Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, July 25.
“The ' Times” says the Government, in attempting to overcome the deadlock in the British and French talks with Russia, has sent the British ambassador, Sir William Seeds, instructions enabling him to attack the problem from ,a fresh angle. The proposed pact would be in two parts, namely, political and military, whereas hitherto the political part solely was emphasised. It is suggested that military talks should begin in order to enforce both simultaneously, as the Soviet originally desired. If a military mission were sent an officer of high rank would lead it. The navy would also be represented.
