Headless Bodies In School, Chinese Allege

The Hongkong correspondent of “The Times” reports that the Chinese penetrated to Sunwui and Tsengshing, but withdrew after conflicts. The Chinese allege that their troops on entering Tenghai foupd la school filled with 100 headless bodies, including those of women. Japanese troops are deploying in a semi-circle with a 40-miles’ radius round Shanghai, in an attempt to offset a threatened Chinese attack. , The British steamer Haitain struck a mine between Swatow and Formosa, tearing a hole in the side and flooding a hold. There is no immediate danger.
