Junior Leaders Downed Sensationally

In the Awanui A v. Kaitaia A junior game, the loaders fiddled the game away, being over-confident and passing in their own quarter. Once Awanui scored, they gained a new lease of life, and carried all before them. For the winners, G. Johnson, Marsden and Heke Dean scored, and MacNamara and Kawhata converted one apiece. For Kaitaia, tries were scored by A. Cade, Byron Thompson (2) and S. Stewart.
