Miniature Rifle Club Formed At Kaitea
A decision to form a miniature rifle club was reached at an enthusiastic meeting held at the residence of Mr L. Graham, of Kaitea, attended by people from Matapouri, Kiripaka, Kaitea and Ngunguru. Mr R. Massey, vice-president of the Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club, with Mrs Massey, attended, and about 30 members were enrolled. Officials were elected as follows: — President Mr L. Graham; secretary, Mr J. I. Ferguson; committee, Messrs H. L. Sands, H. Keenan, J. Pullman, Miss H. Knapp, and Miss J. Graham. Opening day was fixed for September 2, 1939. All poets and sages have told us for ages That the future belongs to the young: And to baffle life's cares, and evade all its snares Needs Health, Brain and Nerves that are strong. So that mothers who care—-who for troubles prepare— And good health for their children ensure, Have the sense to keep handy’— not whisky nor brandy— But Woods' Great Peppermint Cure. 42/
